Standing at the entrance to Circular Quay, on Bennelong Point, the Sydney Opera House welcomes the world to Sydney. Being a multi-venue performing arts centre, its magnificent shells were designed to accommodate the height requirements of the internal areas of each venue. Comprising the Main Concert Hall, the Joan Sutherland Theatre, Drama Theatre, Playhouse, Studio and Recording Studio, the Utzon Room, a small multi-purpose function room and the outdoor forecourt.
